Winter Deciduous Pruning Clinic
If you missed our pruning clinic at La Huerta Garden in December, make plans to attend this free public event presented in partnership with California Rare Fruit Growers. Learn the principles of pruning common fruit trees in small, guided groups, featuring hands-on practice with the experts. Saturday, January 20, 2018, from 10:00 am - 1:00 pm at Mesa Harmony Garden, on the corner of Meigs Road & Dolores Drive in Santa Barbara. Street parking is available on Dolores. Please bring your own clean pruning shears and/or loppers.
The Houseplant Jungle: A Guide to Indoor Gardening
Learn how to select and care for many popular species of foliage and flowering houseplants. This free public workshop is scheduled for Saturday, January 27, 2018, from 10:00 - 11:30 am in the Faulker Gallery at the Santa Barbara Central Library, 40 East Anapamu. Topics to be covered include light levels, watering, soils and containers, fertilizing and common problem diagnosis and treatment. Instructor: Master Gardener Cameron Hannah-Bick.
